…is pretty dreadful. I think I’ll just stick to listening to Zooropa and Achtung Baby on my iPod.
It sounds “current”, I guess. The lyrics are pretty awful. I should really lower my expectations from the U2 brand.

This is a band I just don’t see why people still listen to (no offense Paul). They by far have more unlistenable material than quality stuff.
IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!11!
fuck right off bono.
(I’ve also apparently decided I don’t need a blog, as I can vent through the comments section of yours)

U2’s catalogue begins its major swan dive in quality about halfway through Pop. All the stuff prior to is quality (mostly). So like, from 1980 to 1993 they’re awesome. From 1993 on they’re good to mediocre to “OH MY GAWD MY FUCKING EARS”.
(You can vent all you want, I like the blog traffic.)

This band died for me a long time ago. The last album that was worth listening to was All That You Left Behind. That being said, the new single is terrible and bland. Pop, Zooropa, & Achtung Baby are the best albums. I was at a concert during their POP tour in Dallas and I still have discotheque visions of bright lemons and screaming lights.
I think this band should just break up and enjoy their status as being great in the 80s, 90s. Why continue to make subpar albums.

1. Bono can’t admit his irrelevance.
2. $$$$$$
